Khan Prampir Makara
Around the Olympic Studios
Khan Prampi Makara is the smallest district between Khan Dounpenh and Boeng Keng Kang. "Prampi" means the number 7 in Khmer. Therefore, it is often written as "7 Makara". It has an Olympic Stadium and near this stadium, there a large three-story white building, which was called Orussey Market. It is lined with many government buildings, including the Council of Ministers (OCM), where the ambodian Cabinet is convened, and there is volleyball, boxing, gymnastics, basketball and many other sports facilities around the Cuban and German embassies and the stadium. In recent years, condominiums have been built one after another around Orussey Market, and are attracting attention as a residential area for foreigners in the future. It is an area where land prices are rising remarkably, and just like Boeng Keng Kang and Riverside. According to the 2019 Cambodian census, the total population of Khan Prampi Makara was 71,092 and the land size is 2,21km2.
