Battambang

The center of northwestern Cambodia where coronial architecture remain
Battambang is an important transit point, which connect Phnom Penh and Thai border, about 300km from the northwest of Phnom Penh and about 7 hours by car. It has a large population and, located in the center of northwest Cambodia. The town, which spread out along the Sangke River that flows into Tonle Sap Lake, is full of liveliness with three large markets. It is blessed with soil and is a region where rice crop is so popular that it is called the Cambodia Rice Bowl. It is also famous as a place of art, and the number of foreigner living in and foreign tourists is increasing year by year, and infrastructure development is progressing. It is one of the cities where future tourism development is expected.
