Banteay Meanchey

Banteay Meanchey is the northwest province of Cambodia bordering Siem Reap and
Thailand. Poipet is in the western part of the province and a border town, where people can cross to Thailand, and has developed as a relay city for land trading between Thailand and Cambodia since ancient time. Blank area that stretch during immigration time are lined up with casino hotels, one side, it also hold a title as an entertainment district. In 2018, the railway connecting Phnom Penh and Poipet resumed for the first time in 45 years, and in 2019, the railway connecting Cambodia to Thailand reopened. Japanese companies are also expanding into the market one after another and a special economic zone will be newly established at the end of 2019, and we anticipate further expansion of Thailand +1. Thanks to its cheap and stable electricity supply from Thailand, its proximity to Bankok and its favorable investment policy, Poipet is considered a future industrial city in northwestern Cambodia.
