Ratanakiri
A remote area where nature remain
Ratanakiri is located in the deep mountainous region of northeast Cambodia, about
590km from Phnom Penh and take more than 10 hours, and bordering Vietnam to the east and Laos to the north. Ratanakiri means a place with gems and mountains, and gem veins produce blue zirconium and good amethyst, and are famous for their beautiful blue gems called Ratana Blue. 60% of population are ethnic minority people, and their unique lifestyle and culture are gaining popularity among Western tourists.
