Kratie is located in the eastern part of Cambodia, about four and a half hours drive from Phnom Penh, with the large Mekong River flowing north and south in the middle of province. More than 80% of the area is covered with forest while there are no large factories, and most of the population of over 300,000 lives in cultivation life. Around Kratie is habitat to more than 100 river dolphins, and are attracting foreign tourist’s attention because of the dolphin watching, where you can see them swimming leisurely, and the peaceful atmosphere of the town and lots of nature scenery view. From Kratie to major cities in Cambodia, as well as Laos and Vietnam, can go by bus. In recent years, there are also a start in search of natural resources.
