Khan Chbar Ampov is an area, which located southeast of Phnom Penh along the National Road 1 leading to Vietnam border. Due to the distance from the center of Phnom Penh, the land price of Chbar Ampov was rising relatively slowly compared to other cities, but in recent years the rate of land with high price have been increase and mostly focused on future development project. In particular, housing development projects are thriving, because of the bridge, which connect the center of Phnom Penh to National Road 1, have good access and infrastructure. Many boreys, golf field and malls have been developed in recent years, such as Borey PengHout and BoreyHi TechLuxury, and large detached houses with land are popular with the wealthy Cambodian. When the bridge across to Diamond Island is built, it has the potential to undergo further transformation. According to the 2019 Cambodian census, total population of Khan Chbar Ampov was 164,369 and the land size was 86.7 km2.
