Doun Penh Section

Area with riverside as a core of business
Khan Dounpenh is home to the Wat Phnom Temple, which has an impressive round shape on the map, and is famous for its riverside along the river. Khan Dounpeng, which was a resident area since the French colonial era, is now the business center of Phnom Penh. It is also the hub of Mony Vong Blvd, which runs through the center of Phnom Penh, and is an area where commerce, tourism, history and culture are concentrated. Many of the popular markets and commercial facilities, including historic buildings such as the Cambodian Royal Palace and the National Museum,
Independence Monument and Central Market, are located here, and it is also a local area where many Cambodians live. The riverside is dotted with many downtown areas and is visited by many residents and tourists. The business area is lined with office buildings where many foreign-affiliated companies enter and the head office towers of each bank. The Eden Garden has opened in the eastern area of Phnom Penh Central Station, and is full of young people with famous club epics, movie theaters and restaurants. The area, with its many large entertainment venues and luxury car
dealerships, has been reclaimed and under development. According to the 2019 Cambodia Census, the total population of Khan Dounpenh was 155,069 and the land size is 7.44 km2.
