Khan Dangkor is located in the southernmost part of Phnom Penh and is the largest Khan in Phnom Penh. There is a lot of land that has not been developed yet, and there is a big difference in land prices along the main road. With the new international airport scheduled to be built a few kilometers south of Khan Dangkor, in recent years, many houses such as boreys have been developed, and land prices are expected to rise. Especially the Choeung Ek district, where the Killing Fields are located, has already experienced a significant increase in land prices due to new development projects. There are also many factories in the area, and the first sewage treatment facility in Cambodia was built. Base on Phnom Penh Sewerage Development Plan, it is supported by Japanese ODA. According to the 2019 Cambodia Census, the total population of Khan Dangkor is 159,772 and the land size is 105.1 km2.
